Clients have the option of either using managed or self-managed DNS settings, these are mutually exclusive and run on different nameservers.  For almost all customers the managed DNS option is recommended.

Managed DNS

This removes the hassle and confusion of configuring your own DNS settings.  Simply drop us a ticket with the DNS changes required (in text format please!) and we will configure them for you.  In the event your changes do not make sense, we will work with you to clarify exactly what was intended.  Turnaround time is within 24 hours.

Self-managed DNS

For clients familar with DNS settings and zone files, this allows you to create, edit and delete your own DNS settings.  Please note this option is unsupported, it is offered solely on a "you break it you fix it" model.  Your DNS settings can be modified in real-time but as with any DNS changes, it can take a few hours to replicate across the internet. We strongly discourage you from using this option unless you understand exactly what you are doing.
